INSTALLATION

How easy is it to install?

MAIN FEATURES

What is it used for?
What are it's main features?
The text help screen reader helps me to read all the work on the computer.
Spell checker can tell you the meanings of words which sound the same but look different, e.g. - there/their (homophones.)
The word prediction feature is a bit temperamental.

GUIDES FOR USE

Are there instructions/a manual? How easy are they to follow? Some parts are easy and would need help to fully understand. The tour guide goes through each bit clearly and the speaking figure has a sense of humour.

EASE OF USE

How easy is it to use with a common sense approach? Once you've gone through the tour guide it is fairly straightforward.

GOOD POINTS

What do you feel are the most helpful features for dyslexics? a) To read something off the Internet.
b) To write essays etc.
c) To work on correcting spelling.
d) Gives you more confidence to use a computer.

BAD POINTS

What is disappointing about this software? The word prediction facility works when it feels like it. The voice is very robot-like and it takes sometime to get used to it.

VALUE FOR MONEY

How much does it cost and is it good value? £95 (+vat)
It is a lot of money but well worth it if you afford it.

ADDITIONAL COMMENTS

Any other comments?
Ways it could be improved?
You don't have to do that thing where you have to ask someone "what does that say?" It gives you freedom and control.
